
Yoga Teacher Training
Applications are now open for our foundational 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training course beginning in Jan 2026. This comprehensive course will give students a solid grounding in all aspects of theory and practice of yoga to begin teaching yoga classes with confidence & passion.
The course is led by Caroline Foster, senior yoga teacher, chartered physiotherapist, breath therapist and reiki teacher/master and is accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals.
The syllabus is primarily based around the Ashtanga lineage, but Caroline will be assisted by local teachers and experts, bringing together expertise in Ayurveda, Kundalini Yoga, Introduction to Pregnancy & Menopause Yoga, Yin & Restorative,as well as Business Mentoring specific to the field of health & wellbeing.
Location
The course will be in person at The Yoga Den in East Linton, East Lothian. We will take advantage of the beautiful countryside in East Lothian, and get outdoors for nature connection opportunities when we can.

You will receive:

A comprehensive grounding in anatomy, physiology and biomechanics relevant to yoga

In-depth study of the mechanics and energetics of the breath (pranayama)

History of yoga and yoga lineages

Yoga philosophy and it's practical application in real life

Consolidation of your own personal practice and support with it's development

Lots and lots of teaching practice - after all, the best way to learn how to teach, is to do it!

Ongoing support and mentoring for 6 months after the course and opportunities to get teaching experience in the form of Community Classes at The Yoga Den.
Prospective applicants should:
• Have a minimum of 2 years regular and consistent yoga practice (can be in-person classes, self-practice, online)
• Be in good health and have stable enough circumstances to allow full participation in the course
• Be able to attend all modules of the course in full.
